On November 2, 2017, the 6th Leman China Pig Conference & 2017 World Pig Industry Expo was grandly opened in Nanjing International Exhibition Center. The conference was hosted by the University of Minnesota and Shixin Langpu International Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and received strong support from the Nanjing Municipal People's Government, the Animal Diagnosis and Treatment Branch of the Chinese Veterinary Medical Association, Nanjing Agricultural University, and Jilin University. Wang Lixian, researcher at Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yuan Rijin, deputy inspector of Jiangsu Agricultural Committee, Dai Jianjun, vice president of Nanjing Agricultural University, Xing Binshan, deputy director of Nanjing Convention and Exhibition Industry Office, Zhu Manxing, director of Jiangsu Provincial Animal Husbandry General Station, and veterinarian at the University of Minnesota A total of more than 100 people attended the opening ceremony, including leading experts such as Jerry Torreson, the chief author of the diagnostic room, Liu Aimin, director of the China Project Department of the University of Minnesota, and representatives of Boehringer Ingelheim, Zoetis China, and Nanjing Nature.

In terms of topic setting, this year's Liman Conference closely follows the development of the industry and the listening needs of previous participants, with "pig disease prevention and control" as the core, covering pig breeding and production management technology and application, pig nutrition and feed production , pig breeding, pig market and economic analysis and other fields of the latest international information and research results. In order to allow participants to better absorb the content of the conference, the conference adopted a variety of conference modes such as pre-conference forums, main venues, sub-venues, sponsorship sessions, and symposiums, and provided personalized receptions, coffee breaks, dinners, and lunches. The supporting services enable the delegates to gain something in the middle school combining work and rest.
This conference opened up a special forum for the Liman pig industry leaders summit for the first time.
